Ian's Web Log

Sometimes I just have a day out and get a load of shots I don't file by category. So I decided to blog them. Actually it is turning out to be the easiest way to keep the site up to date without trying to spread shots into categories. Furthermore, obviously it has the archive list of previous blogs, so you can see everything.

July 2016 Miscellaneous

Been a bit busy to do much photography this month, but got some new lenses to try out, so had a little bit of a tentative play.

Highlight of the month was meeting a guy called Peter who was once a photographer with Island Records and did photoshoots with Bob Marley and Steel Pulse. How cool is that? I met him on my part-time courier round and we chatted for ages. What a fascinating character he was.
He also keeps a blog with a lot of local photography from my patch in North Fife so please visit his site at this link

"My New Office" is when I worked out I could do my transcription work on my laptop, so took myself off to Loch Mill with a picnic and set up a folding table, footpedal and headphones and did my typing in a beautiful setting with my camera on a stand ready for photo opportunities. Nice to get out for a change.

Then I found some Monkshood which is increasingly rare these days so I have been keeping an eye on a local wild patch. It is a beautiful plant & the bees love it.
